Many corporate networks require users to connect to the internet via a web proxy. Most ISPs also offer this service, although use of the proxy is not usually compulsory.
Open Internet Explorer. Under Windows Vista, the IE7 menus are hidden by default. Hold down the ALT key to bring them up. ALT T expands the Tools menu. Click on Internet Options...
